As in previous years, Eikonos was the audiovisual partner of the Planeta Awards, held this year at the Congress Centre of Catalonia on 15 October. At this last edition, the winner was Alicia Gimenez with the book Hombres desnudos and the finalist Daniel Sanchez with La isla de Alice, out of a total of 486 books submitted to the competition.
The production manager of the firm commissioned to organize this event first consulted the client so as to identify the event’s requirements and the physical characteristics of the venue, with the aim of specifying the necessary equipment and technical services. After a thorough analysis, Eikonos decided to use three Christie Boxer, 4K resolution, 30,000 lumens with a 1.34K optical system for projecting different content (live broadcasting, videos, logos, books, speaker presentations, etc.) on three 6.33x3.4m screens. In addition, five Panasonic HD cameras were used and all audiovisual equipment was coordinated by means of a Spyder x20 image processor.
Perseverance and personalized attention were two of the key factors behind Interprofit’s decision to entrust Eikonos with the job. The final result of such a large cultural event was impeccable and very gratifying, for which the team’s management and organization were essential.
