Eighty-five Percent of Spanish Travellers Obtain Information on the Internet

According to a study conducted by Google Spain, 85% of Spanish travellers use the Internet to find information about destinations, although only 15% actually make an online purchase. It is hoped that by 2008 the percentage will be around the 18% mark.

451 million unique users
Google now has 451 million unique users, which allows large companies and SMEs reach clients that were unattainable before the Internet era. As a matter of fact, experts in the field acknowledge that it is probably the most efficient advertising medium for small companies, with relatively low costs. However, companies in general only earmark 1.8% of their marketing budgets for search engine advertising.
