Aware of the importance of social and environmental issues, the organizers wanted to hold a sustainable congress with the least possible environmental impact.

The 14th State Volunteer Congress was held in Corunna last November, under the slogan "Paths of Solidarity." During the three-day event, there were keynotes, debates, roundtable discussions, screenings and, at the closing ceremony, HRH Prince of Asturias awarded the 2011 Social Voluntary Work State Prizes.

Aware of the importance of social and environmental issues, the organizers wanted to hold a sustainable congress with the least possible environmental impact. To this end, they commissioned Botey Produccions de Disseny to design and assemble 68 eco-stands for the agencies and NGOs attended the event, as well as the institutional eco-stands for the Galician Regional Government, the Spanish Voluntary Work Platform, and the Ministry of Public Health, Social Policy and Equality.

As with the decoration of the stage, signage and furniture, all the stands were made with the Kraftub2 recyclable cardboard system, developed by the team at Botey Produccions. The majority of the material, such as the furniture and signage, will be reused by the different organizations participating at the event, while the rest has already been recycled.
