It is hoped that more than 300 professionals will attend the third edition of the World Health Tourist Congress to be held in 2008 on the Costa del Sol, thereby surpassing the attendance figures of the second edition which was recently held in Cyprus.
Facilities and variety
The Costa del Sol beat other candidates including South Africa and the Philippines to host the event due to the variety of facilities, spa and beauty centres and specialised health clinics in the area. The congress, which is an excellent chance to consolidate the sector, will attract suppliers, specialised destinations, health clinics, hospitals, receptive tour operators, insurance companies, multinationals and even health services representatives.
Last edition’s figures
One hundred and twenty companies and buyers chiefly from the Gulf States, Africa, Europe, USA, Canada and Asia, and 98 suppliers from 35 countries participated in this year’s edition held in Limassol.
