Cirque du Soleil has chosen Feria Valencia for the performances of its new show Varekai in the city of Valencia. Corunna, Barcelona and Malaga complete the list of destinations of Cirque du Soleil’s Spanish tour.
Cirque du Soleil has chosen the facilities of Valencia’s trade show centre – specifically Level 3 of Hall 4, because of its size, height and versatility – for the six performances that it will offer from 14-17 January 2016. This will be the third time that Cirque du Soleil uses the facilities of Feria Valencia.
"Varekai" represents an extraordinary world set in the heart of a forest, on top of a volcano. Written and directed by Dominic Champagne, this production pays homage to the nomad spirit, the soul and the art of circus tradition, "as well as the infinite passion of those that search for the way leading to Varekai, which means "in any place" in the Romani language of the Gypsies, the universal nomads," according to the organizers.
