The International Business Centre of Catalonia is currently attending the Pont Tecnològic i d’Innovació in Silicon Valley and Seattle, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona and Barcelona Activa, taking place from 24 April-1 May.
Silicon Valley has the highest concentration of companies, institutions and universities related to technology and innovation in the world. Home of Microsoft and Boeing, Seattle is located in the centre of a region with an intensive industrial activity, above all in the fields of aerospace, computer software, biotechnology and telecommunications.
The “technological bridges” are keyed to providing attendees with tools to achieve a triple objective:
- To analyze the opportunities, economic trends and competitive factors of Silicon Valley and Seattle, both of which are world leaders in technology.
- To share experiences and help to internationalization of the Catalonian corporate sector.
- To showcase Barcelona and its economic and social environment.
This edition features, among others meetings, a work session at the headquarters of Microsoft in Redmond (Seattle), and a seminar (Plug and Play Tech Center Tech Track) at the Plug and Play Tech Center, the headquarters of the Silicon Valley enterprise incubator.
