Children’s riding classes at Costa del Sol School of Equestrian Art in Estepona

The start of the new school term always coincides with the search for after-school activities.

When choosing an after-school activity for our children, we tend to put the accent on physical exercise, acquiring new knowledge, and mixing with other children. The Costa del Sol School of Equestrian Art has just opened the first riding course for school children over six years of age. The course includes theoretical and practical classes, as well as preparation for the Spanish Royal Riding Federation’s certificate.

Both the theoretical and practical classes are given by certified bilingual teachers with plenty of experience. Riding is very beneficial for balance and coordination, as well as improving physical fitness (muscular and cardiovascular) and the visual perception of space. Furthermore, the close contact with animals and other people is good for developing social skills.

Riding helps school children improve their concentration. A study has revealed that this sport improves their learning capacity and helps them to undertake specific tasks, as well as improving their memory.

The Costa del Sol School of Equestrian Art in Estepona has especially designed riding facilities, in addition to a restaurant and two function rooms, one of which is located in the Pony Club.
