Carlson Wagonlit Travel recognized in the top 1% of all companies in all industries worldwide for its responsible business practices.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the global travel management company, today announced that it has been rated among the top 1% of all companies for its responsible business practices by EcoVadis, the environmental and social performance rating agency. CWT was awarded the Gold Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating up from the previous Silver rating.
‘This is a tremendous honor to receive in recognition of our commitment to CSR,’ said Kurt Ekert, president and CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel. ‘Responsible business is a fundamental element of our overall business practice and something we live and breathe, every day. This is a direct result of CWT’s culture and core values: integrity, caring, leadership and passion. In whatever decision we make, we consider the impact on the environment in which we operate.’
EcoVadis, who evaluates over 25,000 suppliers every year, uses a methodology that rates companies according to 21 CSR criteria, grouped under four themes: Environment, Labor, Fair Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement. CWT’s performance in each of these four themes was evaluated looking at policies, actions and results.
‘It is testament to the hard work, dedication and engagement of our colleagues at every level of our business, across nearly 150 countries, that we have been recognized amongst the global leaders in Corporate Social Responsibility,’ said Françoise Grumberg, CWT’s vice president, Global Responsible Business.
