Canadian MICE Professionals Participate in Fam Trip Organized by SIMA and Turespaña

Last week, the Spanish Incentives and Meetings Association (SIMA), in collaboration with Turespaña, hosted a fam trip for a group of Canadian meeting planners and incentive houses, with the aim of showcasing Spain as an incentive destination and stepping up promotional actions keyed to the Canadian market.



The group arrived in Madrid, where the programme began, and then visited Toledo and Valencia. During the trip, the participants visited some of these destinations’ most prestigious hotels and emblematic attractions, seeing for themselves the different activities and options open to MICE travellers.



The participants were delighted with the trip and very impressed by the country’s enormous MICE potential, as well as taking away a different impression than they had previously had of Spain.



SIMA is planning to continue to organize fam trips all over Spain, since they are a very positive way of promoting the country.



SIMA is an association of companies, hotels and DMCs, whose chief aim is to attract incentive groups from USA and Canada, in close collaboration with Turespaña, so as to promote and market Spain’s many attractions and services abroad.
