Spain’s Leading Resort, Europe’s Leading Spa Resort, Europe’s Leading Family Resort and Europe’s Leading MICE Hotel are four of the six awards that the AR Diamante Beach could pick up at the 21st edition of the 2014 World Travel Awards.
Known as the "Oscars" of the travel industry, the World Travel Awards, now running into their 21st edition, serve to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.
These are precisely the characteristics that differentiate the beach-front AR Diamante Beach Spa & Convention Center (Calpe, Alicante), belonging to the AR Hotels & Resorts chain, from its competition set and which have earned the property six nominations in the 2014 edition of the World Travel Awards (WTA).
The decision as to who will be awarded the coveted statuettes at the Europe Gala Ceremony, to be held in Greece this coming August, is now in the hands of the general public and trade professionals. Until 23 June, the general public can vote for the AR Diamante Beach Spa & Convention Center in any of the categories in which the property has been nominated.
Six nominations, much more than a hotel
An incomparable setting with views of the emblematic Rock of Ifach, a product that perfectly combines rest, leisure and wellness, and a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the best possible service are just some of the reasons for which the AR Diamante Beach has been nominated.
The nominations are as follows: Europe’s Leading Family Resort, Europe’s Leading MICE Hotel, Europe’s Leading Resort, Europe’s Leading Spa Resort, Spain’s Leading Resort, and Spain’s Leading Spa Resort.
Winning the award as Spain and Europe’s Leading Resort would confirm the AR Diamante Beach as the property offering the best holiday product on the Costa Blanca and the ideal place to relax, whether on Fossa Beach or in the property’s 500sqm of terraces and gardens.
Furthermore, the Spa Diamante Oasis Bienestar, with over 2,000sqm of facilities, convert the property into a worthy candidate for Spain and Europe’s Leading Spa Resort.
Lastly, featuring among the six categories is that of Europe’s Leading MICE Hotel, a nomination on which AR Hotels’ team, captained by Giorgio Ascolese, has pinned great hopes, due to the property’s excellent meeting and event facilities and the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence that it received last November.
Europe Gala Ceremony in Greece
The WTA voting results will announced on 2 August during a spectacular gala to be held at the Apollon Palace & Thalasso Atenas, Divani. This is the first time that Greece will host the gala, in collaboration with the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization, the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises and Divani Collection Hotels.
The gala will attended by the industry’s top players, hotel representatives from over 160 countries and the industry’s prime movers.
