The city of Burgos and its convention centre Forum Evolucion have won the bid to host the congress of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES), scheduled to be held in June 2016, with the attendance of over 2,000 professionals, including doctors, nursing staff and technicians.
This medical congress, one of the most important in Spain, will also be attended by prestigious international professionals. In the view of SEMES Castile and Leon, the driving force behind the bid, along with Forum Evolucion, the hosting of this annual congress in Burgos is a "very important step," and the organizers believe that the city is a benchmark in field of emergency medicine.
Burgos has consolidated its position as an ideal destination for major congresses, a position that will be improved when the city is linked to the high-speed train network in the following months. Forum Evolucion’s 18 function rooms and 6,000sqm of facilities are perfect for staging major events.
