BTC International, one of Europe’s most important b2b event industry fairs and Italy’s leading MICE fair, will be held in Rome for the first time. The event, which is moving from Florence to Rome for reasons of growth, will be held at the Nuova Fiera di Roma from 8-9 November 2007.

Exhibitor profile

Exhibitors will include, among others, Italy and world’s chief destinations, venues and event facilities, tour operators, meeting and convention hotels, hotel chains, historic venues, incentive houses, conventions bureaux, DMCs, PCOs, national tourist boards, airlines and specialised press.

In last year’s edition, Spain was strongly represented at the fair, with the attendance of Seville’s Tourism Consortium, the conventions bureaux of Cordova, the Costa de Sol and Malaga, in addition to the Spain Convention Bureau, and Turismo Andaluz, among other public tourism agencies based in Madrid, the Baleares, the Canaries and Northern Spain.

New format

In addition to the change of venue, BTC International will be held over two days this year to save time and optimise costs and resources. Another new feature is the Appointment Programme, which will allow exhibitors to contact directly the buyers of their choice via an interactive system featuring a free online appointment agenda. It is hoped that this strategic tool, specifically developed for the fair and whose use will be restricted to registered exhibitors, will help buyers and exhibitors alike to make the most their participation.

Parallel programme

As in previous years, the fair will include a parallel programme of training seminars, conferences and presentations, organised with the collaboration of the world’s key event industry associations.
