Scheduled to take place at Sao Paulo’s Parque Anhembi from 16-19 September 2013, Alimentaria Brazil will coincide with Equipotel Sao Paulo, Latin America’s largest hospitality and F&B show.

Following the agreement signed between Alimentaria Exhibitions and Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, the country’s largest tradeshow organizer, Brazil will be the next international destination to host Alimentaria. The holding of Alimentaria Brazil in Sao Paulo en September 2013 constitutes an important step in the internationalization of the company, which already organizes homonymous shows in Lisbon and Mexico DF, as well as in Barcelona.

The Alimentaria brand has an excellent reputation in Latin America, where the show has known how to position itself to meet market demands, the region being Alimentaria Exhibitions’ main driver of expansion. For historical reasons and due to the Spanish agri-food industry’s strategy, Latin American countries field the largest number of international exhibitors and visitors to the show.

Alimentaria Brazil is Alimentaria Exhibitions’ first new launch, after Fira Barcelona took control of the company last December, on acquiring Reed Exhibitions’ 50% share of the capital. As result of this operation, Fira and the British multinational agreed to work together to extend the show’s international reach, especially in highly strategic regions such as Latin America. This also ties in with the collaboration with Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, which also buttresses Alimentaria’s policy geared to forging alliances with local partners so as to favor synergies and business opportunities.
