So, on 23 March, Bonaire turned off the lights of its façade from 8.30-9.30pm, during which Monkey Business painted the shopping centre’s logo and that of the initiative in fluorescent paint, lit only by black light, accompanied by the live performance of a batucada band.
With the slogan "We have 8,760 hours a year to light up the planet," the public used luminescent paint to list their daily efforts in favour of environmental protection on a giant mural, while the children participated in the initiative through a handmade candle workshop.
The one-hour event, organized by the shopping centre’s management and the agency Porter Novelli, attracted a large number of passersby who watched the mural unfolding and members of the public writing their messages in fluorescent paint, while enjoying the musical entertainment.
