The Spanish Association of Destination Management Companies (Spain DMCs) has acknowledged the hotel in the "Distinguished Supplier" category.
The Barcelo Renacimiento’s sales team triumphed in the Distinguished Supplier" category at the 3rd edition of the Spain DMC Awards, held in Barcelona on 28 November.
The award acknowledges the hotel as the best service provider for Spanish DMCs (Destination Management Companies), reinforcing its position as one of a select group of benchmark properties specializing in the MICE market.
In the words of Sebastian Gonzalez, manager of the Barcelo Renacimiento: "This award is very special for us, since it doesn’t highlight the hotel’s facilities as other awards have done, but the property’s sales team as the real cog that makes the mechanism tick over to perfection. There are no words to express the personal satisfaction that this means for our sales department."

Efforts to promote Spanish destinations
The awards, which are given on an annual basis, have been created by national MICE specialists, all members of the Spanish Association of DMCs, with the aim of acknowledging the effort and work put in by both individuals and companies working in the meetings and event industry. The idea is to give the awards to those people who have proved to have the best team spirit when collaborating with the association’s members with the aim of promoting Spanish destinations in the national and international MICE markets.
