Tatler, the British magazine owned by the Condé Nast UK Group, has just published its Best 101 Hotels 2008 guide, which includes the Barcelo La Bobadilla.

Tatler has recently selected the best 101 hotels in the world for its 2008 travel guide. Included among the hotels, which are divided into 14 categories, is the Barcelo La Bobadilla, a five-star establishment located near Loja in the province of Granada and member of The Leading Small Hotels of the World. Included in the best family hotel category, the magazine describes the hotel as follows:

“Just a half-hour’s drive from the madness of Malaga and you are in the Andalusia of your dreams, filled with birds singing in the orange trees and the scent of rosemary. All you need is somewhere to stay where you can merrily offload the kids, feast on simple, local food and sleep deep. La Bobadilla is smart and rural, old-fashioned and up-to-the-minute. The setting is knockout: acres of private land where all sorts of activities keep everybody happy (tennis courts, wonderful horses, archery, mountain bikes, quad bikes, trekking and, crucially, a fab children’s club). You can flop by the pool, go woozy in the new spa and enjoy jolly day trips to Cordoba, Seville or Granada…”

Another three Spanish hotels have been include the guide: on the one hand, Trasierra, a family-run hotel located in Cazalla de Sierra in the province of Seville; and on the other, the Omm in Barcelona and the Marques de Riscal, designed by Franck Gehry and located in Elciego in the Rioja.
