On 15 August, the corporate public relations agency specializing in the tourist industry, Avante, took over the running of the press office at Buchinger Marbella, the famous medical and fasting therapy clinic.
Founded in 1973 by Maria Buchinger, the clinic is now run by Jutta and Claus Rohrer, the founder’s daughter and son-in-law. The chief aim of the clinic, which specializes in fasting therapies and preventive medicine services, is to advise patients on how to lead a healthier lifestyle.
“For the Buchinger Clinic, which has always advocated for informational transparency, communication is an essential factor,” comments Claus Rohrer. “The mass media aren’t generally speaking familiar with the benefits of fasting therapies, so one of our main objectives is to disseminate more in-depth information about them.”
Maria Angeles Diaz, director of Avante, who has more than 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, is also the only member of the IPRA (International Public Relation Association) in the region: “I’m proud to have such a prestigious client – whose unique and exlusive philosophy has earned it international acclaim – in my portfolio.” Diaz will be personally responsible for managing press relations and activities for Buchinger Marbella, in local, regional and national media.
Avante, which specializes in the tourist industry, also handles press relacions for AEHCOS (Costa del Sol Hoteliers Association).
