On this occasion, AV Medios not only installed the necessary equipment for the event, but the company’s CEO Manuel Angel Berjon also delivered a keynote address.

AV Medios is aware of the importance of hands-on training for students, for which reason the company has been collaborating in the organization of CONGREUEM – a congress organized by the students of the European University of Madrid as part of the their study programme – for several years now. This year, the 8th edition of CONGREUEM – held on 7 May at the NH Eurobuilding Hotel –revolved around the technological evolution of the meetings and event industry.

At this edition of the events, AV Medios not only installed the necessary equipment for the event, but the company’s CEO Manuel Angel Berjon also delivered a keynote address on the digital revolution in the meetings and event industry, in which he stressed that one should never forget that "an event is always communication." Another 17 keynotes were also delivered at the congress.

At the 8th edition of the event, AV Medios supplied the organizers with a sound system, including six speakers distributed throughout the venue, plus lectern, table and wireless microphones; a 5,500 lumen overhead projector with a 2.4x1.8m screen, together with three plasma screens placed in strategic locations – so as to allow those present to follow the event from wherever they were sitting – on which different presentations, videos and the event’s Twitter wall were screened; and three networked laptops. Likewise, the company provided a lighting system both for the lectern and for the main table.

Outside the function room, two 50" plasma screens were installed on either side of the main door for screening the congress’ Twitter wall, with the audience’s comments. This new tool for managing Twitter walls, which AV Medios presented exclusively during the event, allows organizers to create an ad hoc wall for each event, and view and manage tweets, thus integrating social networking in live events.

The event ended at 6pm and the proceedings were donated to the Madrid Food Bank Foundation.
