The exceptional hotel complex in Calpe has been recognized as the Mediterranean’s leading beach Hotel and leading MICE Hotel at the XXII Edition of the World Travel Awards.
As the proud recipient of two "Oscars" (as these awards are known in the travel industry), and surrounded by part of his team, Giorgio Ascolese, the AR Diamante Beach hotel’s manager, collected these two awards at a ceremony that was attended by hundreds of leading figures of the European tourism industry and which took place at the renowned Forte Village Resort.
The XXII Edition of the World Travel Awards was held at an idyllic location, Sardinia, the Mediterranean’s second largest island and the eighth in Europe, famous for its turquoise tinted waters and white sandy beaches. In this environment, similar to the one that the guests of the AR Diamante Beach Hotel can enjoy, the prizes were awarded as the result of over 200,000 votes cast by experts belonging to the tourism trade from over 160 countries.
Specifically, the two awards given to the AR Diamante Beach Hotel are the result of a firm commitment to excellence and continued efforts to improve customer service which have been carried out over the years by the extended family which constitutes the AR Diamante Beach Hotel.
All of this means that visitors encounter much more than just accommodation, and ensures the hotel’s place as an icon throughout the region, a place of reference on the Costa Blanca. The hotel’s unique location, close to the Peñón de Ifach (Rock of Ifach) and the "la Fossa" beach, along with its facilities and dedicated work team, make the hotel a deserving recipient of the "Oscar" for Leading Beach Hotel of the Mediterranean.
But these awards, which are recognized worldwide, have not only taken into account the excellent location, but also the incomparable Spa and exceptional facilities and service. Add to this a magnificent infrastructure which allows for any kind of gatherings to take place. This has led to the hotel being awarded the Best MICE hotel of the Mediterranean.
This last distinction has been obtained thanks largely to the versatility of the hotel’s conference spaces, each one named after illustrious personalities such as Curie, Newton, Copernicus or Pythagoras, and which amount to over 5,000m2.
