Antonio Banderas, who gave this year's Easter speech, attended the dinner with his family and the Mayor of Malaga.
The traditional dinner, which is given every year after the Easter speech at the Cervantes Theatre, was held on 9 April at the Malaga Car Museum, housed in the city's former cigarette factory. The dinner was attended by 530 guests, including the actor from Malaga Antonio Banderas, accompanies by his wife Melanie Griffith and daughter, Francisco de la Torre, Mayor of Malaga, the president and members of the governing body of the Association of Easter Brotherhoods of Malaga, the journalist Manuel Alcantara, and a large number of brotherhood members.
Joao Magalhaes, the museum's director, conducted a tour of museum for the actor, showing him the most important cars in the collection, as well as over 300 period hats and suitcases completing the exhibition. Banderas was duly impressed by the collection, commenting during his speech: "I thought you were going to give me one of the cars because this is one hell of a museum." In addition, he showed great interest in collaborating in the future with the car museum with an eye to promoting Malaga abroad.
