The closing keynote of the 1st edition of the congress, which was attended by 200 vets, was delivered by Bernard Vallat, director general of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).
With the aim of advocating for the creation of a mechanism for controlling the transmission of animal-borne diseases to humans, such as Ebola, avian flu or blue tongue, the 1st Andalusian Veterinary Public Health Congress was held in Granada from 25-26 September, with the participation of 200 veterinary surgeons.
