AFCAN aims to open up new channels to heighten awareness to the importance of tradeshows and congresses for the industry’s professionals and the general public.
The Andalusian Association of Congress and Tradeshow Centres (AFCAN) is now present in Twitter, the popular microblogging network, with the channel @afcan_asociacio. This initiative is part of the association’s communication strategy that aims to disseminate the activity of its associates and emphasize the industry’s potential for economic and social development.
Last week, AFCAN opened a channel in Twitter, the popular social network, an initiative whose aim is to heighten the awareness of the general public and trade professionals to the activity of its associated venues and centres, as well as the association’s day-to-day functioning and interesting news and information related to the meetings and event industry and the tourist industry in general.
In line with the association’s strategy designed to support the promotion of the events hosted by its associated venues and centres, AFCAN intends to open up new channels to heighten awareness to the importance of tradeshows and congresses for the industry’s professionals and the general public, in addition to the joint efforts of the public sector and private enterprise related to the industry.
Likewise, AFCAN’s Twitter channel offers followers up-to-date information on the meetings and event industry and its impact on economic and social development, in addition to serving as a platform for showcasing news trends and developments in an industry that, according to recent data provided by the Regional Department of Tourism and Commerce, generates an income of EUR 800 milllion.
Furthermore, AFCAN’s website (www.afcan.es) offers users the possibility of sharing posts, including information on the association and the tradeshows and congresses held in the region.
AFCAN’s associates are the Armilla Tradeshow Centre, the Cadiz Congress and Exhibition Centre, the Cordova Congress Centre, the Granada Exhibition and Congress Centre, the Provincial Tradeshow and Congress Centre of Jaen, the Latin American Forum of La Rabida, the Malaga Tradeshow and Congress Centre, the Marbella Tradeshow and Congress Centre, and the Seville Exhibition and Congress Centre.
