The recently established associated Spanish Event Agencies (AEVEA) has recently presented its code of ethics and good practice, unanimously ratified and adopted at a meeting of the association’s founding members on 9 April.
The code of ethics and good practice, which must be signed by all the agencies wishing to join AEVEA, establishes guidelines for the whole event industry, based on good governance, justice and equality in relations, always acting in accordance with regulations, transparency in dealings with all the stakeholders, fair competition, sustainability, commitment to work excellence and quality, safety and responsibility towards the environment and personal development.
According to Dario Regattieri, president of AEVEA, the fact that the majority of agencies that organize events in Spain has ratified and adopted the code is an unprecedented step, assuring quality for clients, government and the rest of the country’s economic sectors.
AEVEA’s Code of Ethics and Good Practice will form the keystone of the association’s work and will make it possible to position the event industry in a short time as one of the motors of the economy, not only due to the enormous amount of money that it moves, which has a positive impact on many segments (decoration, logistics, catering, new technologies, etc.), but also because of its ethical, transparent, creative and innovative nature.
