The 1st National Congress for Planning, Promotion and Quality Control of Holiday Destinations will be held between 3-4 May at Cordova’s Palacio de la Merced, the seat of the provincial government.
At the centre of debate
The organisers hope that the congress, for which 150 people have already registered, will place Cordova at the centre of debate and future planning so as to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different tourist products. To this end, the promotion strategies of La Rioja, Navarra and Asturias, among other Spanish regions, will be compared and analysed.
Cordova as a tourist destination
With regard to Cordova’s position in the national tourist market, it is regarded as an interesting destination due to its magnificent cultural and natural heritage, and delicious cuisine. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of work to be done.
As to the province’s latest tourism plans, those of the Betica Trail, Los Pedroches, Sierra Morena, Montilla-Moriles and the Upper Guadalquivir are the most relevant.
