From 21 to 23 November, the Palacio de Congresos de Burgos "Forum Evolución" will host the XXXIX National Congress of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine, a first-rate medical appointment with more than 2,300 attendees, mainly from the entire national territory, but also from Portugal and Latin America. This scientific forum will focus on the latest developments in infectious diseases, obstetric medicine, metabolic diseases, the importance of intestinal microbiota, or Internal Medicine and patients, among others.
All the figures related to the congress are overwhelming; 17 rooms in parallel use, lunches for more than 1600 people seated, more than 5000 coffees during the 3 days of the congress, two million Euros of economic impact planned, about 150 people working directly to serve the congress between technicians, hostesses, security personnel, cleaning, waiters ... In addition to staff stands, organization ... At the scientific level 46 round tables, 16 workshops, 20 sessions of communications, 15 meetings with the expert and 548 presentations of clinical cases.
The city of Burgos and the Evolution Forum are consolidated as the ideal destination also for the celebration of large format congresses, which will be improved with the arrival of the AVE in Burgos in the coming months. The 35,000 m2 of the Evolution Forum, as well as its location in the heart of the city, are proving to be key to attracting such an important number of national congresses!
