The congress was a superb opportunity to showcase the huge MICE potential of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The 2nd MCE CEE Congress, which was held in Prague from 12-14 February, was attended by over 100 hosted buyers and more than 60 meetings and event service providers from the CEE region, including hotels, DMCs, congress centres and airlines.
The congress got underway on 12 February with a cocktail reception at the Corinthia Hotel, followed by a short walk to Prague Castle and the impressive Lobkowicz Palace, where, after an address given by Mr William Lobkowicz in person, the participants were treated to a sumptuous gala dinner.
The congress programme included keynote addresses delivered by Peter Antoni (Kuoni DMC), Edgar Valdmanis, Jonathan Bradshaw, Judith Huisman and Magdalina Yarichkova, among others, a number of presentations by CCE convention bureaux, and one-to-one session between buyers and MICE service providers. And as regards evening networking events, these were held at the Francouzska restaurant, one of the world’s Art Nouveau architectural jewels, followed by more socializing at Prague’s Hard Rock Café.
