The last number of the online magazine "Meet in Spain", edited by the Spanish Tourist Office in Chicago and specializing in the American MICE market, has showcased Burgos as one of the country’s "emerging" meeting and event destinations.
This feature, in which Burgos is showcased alongside Granada, acknowledges the promotional and marketing efforts of Forum Evolucion Burgos and the city’s convention bureau both at home and abroad.
The front page of the magazine features a large photo of Burgos Cathedral, one of Burgos’ three World Heritage Sites, along with the St James Way and the Atapuerca archaeological sites. The article also highlights the city’s excellent connections, as well as its capacity for hosting major events. Burgos is presented as a "modern" city, excellently located and currently undergoing a process of urban, cultural and tourism transformation.
The magazine focuses on Forum Evolucion Burgos as the city’s flagship convention centre, due to the capacity and versatility of its facilities, and its potential when it is finally linked to the country’s the high-speed train network in 2015.
