CULTOUR, a two-day global travel trade exhibition keyed specifically to the cultural and heritage travel niche market, is due to be held from 15-16 April 2009 at the Koeln Messe in Cologne.
The first global cultural travel fair in the world, CULTOUR will be open to professionals only from 15-16 April, and to the general public over the weekend. Exhibitors will include around 200 German and international wholesalers and retailers marketing culture-related travel programmes: city breaks, festivals, religious events, pilgrimages, archaeology, theatre, musicals, museums, wineries, gastronomy, sporting events, etc. In the region of 1,000 buyers are expected to attend the event.
After the 2007 edition, which was held in Santiago de Compostela, the city of Cologne was chosen to host the event from 2008-2012.
