Recently appointed to the post of director of >atlantadmc Inbound Division, Claes Akerblom’s responsibilities will include developing the division’s business plan, both strengthening the company’s presence in existing markets and forging alliances in new geographical areas.
With a BA in Economics from the University of Handelshögskolan and a MA in International Business Management from the ESADE and HHS (Stockholm), Akerblom has been working in the international tourism industry since 1994, occupying the post of director of promotion and marketing for distant markets and director of international strategic management of the Scandinavian Tourist Promotion Centre, under the aegis of the Tourism of Catalonia Consortium. He has also managed the Agency for Economic Promotion and the Sitges Tourism Office. A Swedish national, as well as his native tongue Akerblom speaks Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Norwegian, Danish, Italian and German.
