There will be 60 new releases – chosen from 1,105 submissions – in the competitive sections of Documenta Madrid 11, the 8th edition of the International Documentary Festival of Madrid, which got under way on 6 May.
The 8th edition of the festival pays tribute to the Italian maestro Vittorio de Seta, a film anthropologist that reveals the charms of the remote villages and inhabitants of Calabria, Sardinia and his native Sicily.
Scheduled to end on 15 May, the festival's organizers have taken out an insurance policy with Cinevent Online to cover the civil liability of all the event's activities and possible damage to technical equipment, sets and the copies of the documentaries.
