On the occasion of the 1st International LGTB Tourism Seminar, last Wednesday, 8 July, the four-star Almazara Hotel in Riofrio hosted the delegates on their arrival in the province of Granada.
After arriving at the airports of Malaga and Granada on 8 July, the delegates were taken to the Almazara Hotel in Riofrio. The evening programme included a welcome speech and an official reception, followed by caviar tasting at Riofrio’s sturgeon farm. Afterwards, the hotel treated them to a typical Granada dinner and a jazz/flamenco fusion performance.
Yesterday, the delegates participated in a GPS 4x4 raid in the Gorafe desert, and, after touring the Tio Tobas house caves, visited Granada where they stayed at the AC Palacio de Santa Paula Hotel. Today, after morning sessions at Granada’s Congress Centre, the social programme has been resumed. In addition to a tour of La Alhambra, this weekend the delegates will be visiting Lanjaron (Alpujarra) and the Costa Tropical.
Both Turespaña and the Regional Government of Granada have stated that the province is the first in Spain to boost LGTB tourism.
