The Barcelo Cabo de Gata, a four-star property with 230 guest rooms, has just obtained the ISO 14001 Standard certification certifying its excellent environmental management.
Due to its location, on the border of Cabo de Gata (Almeria), one of Spain’s most unique natural parks, it was indispensable for a property like this to comply with all the aspects of environmental management addressed by the ISO 1400, such as the treatment and recycling of all types of waste, the implementation of energy saving systems, and the carrying out of awareness campaigns among both the hotel staff and clients, among others.
The Barcelo Cabo de Gata is the second property of Barceló Hotels & Resorts, after the Barcelo Renacimiento (Seville), to obtain the ISO 14001 Standard certification.
