Yesterday (2 December), the 17th edition of MITM Euromed, Meetings & Incentive Travel Market, the oldest B2B MICE event in Europe and the Mediterranean region, got under away with a fabulous welcome reception at the Gran Casino Aljarafe.
Before the reception, the national and international hosted buyers and press representatives were treated to an exclusive tour of the stunning city of Seville, including the Real Alcazares, the Santa Cruz quarter and Plaza de España, among other attractions.
Today, the convention centre of the TRH Alcora Hotel will host over 2,850 appointments between a select group of over 150 participants, both exhibitors and hosted buyers, from 23 countries – Albania, Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, India, Jordan, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russian, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom and USA – which are expected to generate short- and long-term business to the tune of over €63,840,000.
The closing ceremony will take place this evening at the El Esparragal country estate, which, together with the Seville Congress and Convention Bureau, the TRH Alcora Hotel, the Gran Casino Aljarafe, Casal Coaches, the Andalusian Tourism Office and APIT, is one of the event’s sponsors.
Furthermore, the Seville Congress and Convention Bureau, the Jaen Tourism Board and the Cadiz Convention Bureau will be offering the hosted buyers and press representatives post-event tours in order to show them a part of the beautiful region of Andalusia.
The next edition of MITM Euromed will be held in Cadiz from 11-13 June 2014.
