Producciones Maya, a production company based in Bormujos (Seville), has just announced the deadline for submissions to the 2nd International Short Film Festival of Aljarafe Espartinas de Cine 2008, a competition for shorts filmed in video format, based on an original idea and lasting a maximum of 30 minutes.
The aim of the festival is to focus on the short films’ creativeness and narrative. There will be two awards for the best short films, one special award for the best short film from Aljarafe, and another two special awards for the best animated short film and the best documentary, respectively.
Candidates are asked to fill in the festival’s online registration form (essential for pre-registration purposes). Only those short films produced after 1 September 2007 and sent to Producciones Maya before 31 August 2008 will be accepted.
